The Dean Rocks are a group of four rock islands in Marguerite Bay west of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located between Preston Island and Biggs Island in the Henkes Islands group off the southern end of Adelaide Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1964 after Thomas Dean (* 1938) from the hydrographic surveying unit of the Royal Navy , which mapped this group for the first time in 1963.
