Dean Ruddock

Dean Ruddock (* 21st May 1992 in Paderborn ) is a spoken-word - poet , writer, workshop leader, organizer, editor and musician. Since 2009 he has participated in several hundred poetry slams and was in the final of the 2017 NRW championships . He also took over the monthly open reading stage Lyriker Lounge (founded by slam poet Sulaiman Masomi ), which he organized and moderated for about seven years. Artistically, his main focus is on the transfer of text into other media.

Life

Dean Ruddock was born in Paderborn in 1992. Through the literary format Poetry-Slam, Ruddock established himself as a poet, filmmaker, organizer, editor and workshop leader.

In 2014 he started giving poetry slam workshops in schools, libraries and other cultural and educational institutions with Lektora GmbH . Since the end of 2015 he has been giving workshops critical of racism with the focus on language together with the poet Fatima Moumouni , for the Pedagogical Institute in Munich and the anti-racist humor festival in Zurich, among others. In 2015 he founded the art format “The ubiquitous quintet” in Paderborn with other regional artists.
