The Decker Glacier is a steep and narrow glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the northeast slopes of Mount Newall in the Asgard Range into the Wright Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after Petty Officer William Dean Decker, assistant to the chief machinist of the United States Navy flight squadron VXE-6 , who died of a heart attack on October 11, 1971 at McMurdo Station .
