Dedel
Dedel is the name of an old Dutch patrician family who held the title of baron .
history
The origins go back to the 14th century when the family was part of the government of the city of Utrecht . From there the Dedels spread to Leiden , Delft , The Hague and, at the end of the 17th century, to Amsterdam . There, too, they belonged to the powerful regent patriciate . In 1815 they were introduced to the new Dutch nobility with the title Jonkheer , and elevations to barons took place in 1844 and 1849. But this branch is extinguished.
