Jacques Dedelley
Jacques Dedelley (born March 24, 1694 in Delley , † June 28, 1757 in Ingolstadt ) was a Swiss Jesuit , theologian and philosopher .
Dedelley was born to Antoine Dedelley and Marie Verdon. He first attended the college in Freiburg . He joined the Society of Jesus at the age of twenty . Between 1716 and 1720 he completed his master's degree in Pruntrut and began to study theology at the University of Ingolstadt in 1720 .
After his ordination he taught rhetoric and philosophy in Freiburg and Pruntrut for a few years . During this time his most important work, Summulae logicae , was created, which was published several times and was widely distributed.
After receiving his doctorate at the University of Ingolstadt in 1730, he was given a professorship for logic and, from 1733, one for metaphysics . Then Dedelley worked as a lecturer in Amberg and Freiburg im Breisgau .
Later he worked as the rector of various colleges, including from 1748 to 1749 at the Jesuit college in Dillingen and from 1749 to 1752 at the college in Pruntrut.
