The Deerfield Texaco Service Station is a former gas station and a monument in Deerfield in Kearny County , Kansas .
The gas station was built in 1923 for the Service Oil Company of Deerfield as a single-story, single-room eaves building with a gable roof . The 7.30 m long eaves side of the building has an integrated roof gable and a brick chimney. The gable ends of the building facing east and west are 4.20 m long. At that time, it was common to adapt gas stations to their surroundings in terms of their architectural style and to design them in a form reminiscent of huts or stables. In the case of the Deerfield Texaco Service Station , this led to an execution in the style of the Tudor Revival .
On June 27, 2007, the Deerfield Texaco Service Station was entered on the National Register of Historic Places .
