Defeated Sanity is a Bavarian technical and brutal death metal band from Dachsbach , which was founded in 1994.
history
The band was founded in 1994 by guitarist Wolfgang Teske and drummer Lille Gruber. Her first appearances followed in 1996 with bassist Jonas Gruber and singer Robert Colnik. In the same year the first demo appeared with Devoured by the Black , which Withdrawn From Beauty joined in 1998. Bassist Tino Köhler and guitarist Christian Münzner then joined the line-up as new members . (guitar). In 2001 a split release was released on the Czech label Grodhaisn Productions together with Poppy Seed Grinder . Markus Keller joined Defeated Sanity as the new singer. In the same year there was also another split release with Imperious Malevolence . This sound carrier was the last Christian Muenzner could be heard on before he switched to Necrophagist .
In late 2004, the album Prelude to the Tragedy was released on Grindethic Records . Then singer Jens Staschel, guitarist Christian Kuehn and bassist Jacob Schmidt joined the band. In August 2006, the band went to Soundlodge Studios to record the album Psalms of the Moribund , which was also released in early 2007 via Grindethic Records. In 2009 the band signed a deal with Willowtip Records and released Chapters of Repugnance in 2010.
style
The band plays a mix of technical and brutal death metal. The guttural singing is extremely deep so that it can hardly be heard. The band's music is described as a mixture of disgorge and devourment .
