Deglur is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra . The city was once part of the state of Hyderabad . The city is located on the Lendi River . Deglur has been known as a marketplace since ancient times.

The city is part of the Nanded district . Deglur has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 24 wards . It had a total of 54,493 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 27,607 were men and 26,886 women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of over 63%, followed by Muslims with over 28%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 79.28%.

The main occupation of the inhabitants is agriculture. Mainly sugar cane , cotton , grain and bananas are grown . The city is also known for its cloth market and gold jewelry.
