Your will be done is a French television series and arte production. The original title Ainsi soient-ils is an allusion to the French translation of the Amen, Ainsi soit-il (So be it). Literally translated it means “so be they”. The series has won multiple awards. In 2012 she received the award for the best series at the Paris Festival Séries Mania.
Plot of the first season
The series takes place in the fictional seminary of the Capuchins in Paris . In the foreground, there are five seminarians from different backgrounds: Yann comes from Brittany and is a boy scout. Raphael comes from a wealthy Catholic family. Emmanuel - adoptive son of African descent - is an archaeologist and has turned down the opportunity to do a doctorate in order to move to the seminar. He was being treated for depression. Guillaume studied political science and lived in a homosexual partnership. José killed a Russian drug dealer in an altercation and served his prison sentence. Their common goal is to become a priest. The series accompanies them through the studies and the detachment process from their previous life. The protagonists' internal and external conflicts are portrayed. The rain of the Capuchin Seminary, Father Fromenger, accompanies the five young men. He has been the head of the seminary for over 20 years. Father Bosco is at his side.
