Michel Duchaussoy (born November 29, 1938 in Valenciennes , † March 13, 2012 in Paris ) was a French actor .

Career

From 1964 he was a member of the Comédie-Française , which he left in 1984. In the cinema he became known through the film Murder Stories by Alain Jessua . Claude Chabrol cast Michel Duchaussoy from 1969 to 1973 in his films The Beast Must Die (leading role as Charles Thénier, who chases the fugitive Jean Yanne ), The Unfaithful Woman , Before Nightfall , The Rift and Nada and 2004 for The Bridesmaid . For Louis Malle's comedy in May Michel Duchaussoy in 1990 for the César nominated. He also acted in numerous television roles.

To his theater work, among other counts Patrice Chéreau 's production of Phèdre next to Dominique Blanc , he for the 2003 French theater prize Molière as Best Supporting Actor won.
