Reviews

The lexicon of international films judged the film to be “a perfectly staged thriller by Claude Chabrol, interspersed with surreal elements, who takes a sharp look at the conflict between possession and freedom and the power relations between men and women”. Prisma said that Chabrol created a masterpiece "with rough scenes and garish pictures".
