Jean-Claude Drouot
Jean-Claude Drouot (born December 17, 1938 ) is a Belgian actor.
Trained at the “Young Theater” in Brussels, Drouot studied with Charles Dullin in Paris . Since 1962 he has been acting in France. From 1963 to 1966 he played the title role in the 52 episodes of the TV series Thierry la Fronde . His first hit film in 1965, starring in The happiness of Agnès Varda .
Tony Richardson hired him in 1968 for Satan Shuffling the Cards , William Klein for Mr. Freedom , Kevin Billington in 1970 for The Light of the World and Franklin J. Schaffner for Nicholas and Alexandra . In his homeland he is u. a. Stéphane Audran's husband Charles in Claude Chabrol's The Rift (1971). At that time he worked for Marcel Cravenne ( La fôret noir ) on television . Jean-Christophe Averty , who for his TV event A Midsummer Night's Dream , which was also shown in Germany , casts him alongside other popular stars such as Claude Jade , Christine Delaroche and Marie Versini as Oberon. After the Bardot vehicle Colinot (1973) by Nina Companéez , he worked more often for television and for the theater. Steve Barron's The Legend of Pinocchio (1996) was one of his last major movies . In 2011 he played the painter Elstir on television in Nina Companzéez ' Marcel Proust -Adaption À la recherche du temps perdu
From 1985 to 1990 he was director of the Théâtre national de Belgique in Brussels.
