content
Living in a peaceful family in Swinging London , art dealer Sir Edward More meets young Margot and jeopardizes his bourgeois existence for his love for her. Hervé, the young usher's fiancé, discovers the relationship and forges a plan to enrich himself.
criticism
"Superficial processing of a novel by Vladimir Nabokov, whose atmosphere and character drawings have not even come close to being achieved."
“Formally catchy and neatly filmed story, which, however, does not make it clear what she wants. The possibilities of interpretation vary between 'punishment for adultery', 'inescapability of eros' and thriller. Still: You can see it. "
