Kate O'Toole

Kate O'Toole (born February 26, 1960 in Stratford-upon-Avon , Warwickshire , England ) is an Irish actress .

Life

Kate O'Toole is the daughter of Peter O'Toole and Siân Phillips , who are also actors. She attended North London Collegiate School. For the first time as an actress she was nine years old in a supporting role in Tony Richardson 's Satan shuffles the cards in front of the camera. At the age of 17 she studied art history in Dublin for a year . At her own request and on the advice of her father, she enrolled at Yale University in 1982 , where she took acting. She then took acting classes at San Francisco and Manhattan's Circle in the Square Theater School. Since 1987 she has stood in front of the camera for over 30 - mostly Irish and British - film and television productions, mostly as a supporting actress. She also works as a theater actress. She now lives in the small Irish town of Clifden .
