Reviews
Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of March 3, 2000 that the film was "undemanding" , but one could like it ( "modest but likable" ). Anjelica Huston only appears to be a strange choice for the lead and direction - her father owned a country house in Ireland, where she partly grew up.
The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was "soulful" , but "too predictable and developed strangely unfocused" . His “absolutely lovable characters” would “hardly gain depth” ; the script remains "too much attached to the turbulent externalities" .
Awards
Anjelica Huston won the Youth Jury Award of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia-San Sebastián in 1999 and was nominated for the Grand Prix of the Flanders International Film Festival .

The film was shot in Dublin and Bray . It grossed around 140,000 US dollars in selected US cinemas and around 309,000 pounds sterling in British cinemas .
