Jean Rabier
Jean Rabier [ ˌʒã ʀabˈje ] (born March 16, 1927 in Montfort-l'Amaury , Yvelines ; † February 15, 2016 in Port-de-Bouc , Bouches-du-Rhône ) was a French cameraman .
Life
Jean Rabier began his career with directors of the Nouvelle Vague . At first he worked as assistant to Henri Decaë ; later he worked in particular (on 36 films) with Claude Chabrol .
"(Rabier) developed an excellent sense of the use of color, which went a long way towards highlighting the social and geographic background that characterizes Chabrol's best films."
