action

By chance, the harmless, dumb farm worker Goubi comes to the city he has dreamed of all his life, Paris. There it is no different for him than in his hometown: He is mocked and laughed at. But then the powerful Monsieur Dessertine, feared by authorities and businesses alike, takes on him, a “butcher king” who feels connected to Goubi through a shared past of care. Now Goubi has at least a roof over his head and a job; he collects mushrooms for an innkeeper. Above all, however, he gets to know the whore Juliette, a quirky girl who is only called "little flowers" by his colleagues because of her love for everything that is in bloom and green.

Blümchen immediately flared up in violent affection for the clumsy nature boy; she neglects her "job", buys the clumsy clothes and finally, when she believes she has made a halfway civilized person out of him, she collects her considerable savings in order to realize her dream of a life in the country with him on her own farm can.

Reviews

The Protestant film observer sums up his criticism as follows: “Spooky love tale from the Paris of today, idyllic, remote from the world, but well played and rich in nuances. Pleasant entertainment from 18. "The lexicon of international film judges not quite as benevolently : " Emotional entertainment in a mixture of wit, sentimentality and fairytale traits. "The state film evaluation agency Wiesbaden gave the work the title" valuable ".
