Robert Dalban

Robert Dalban (real name: Gaston Barré , born July 19, 1903 in Celles-sur-Belle , ( Deux-Sèvres ); † April 3, 1987 in Paris ) was a French actor .

The crumple-faced actor became known in 1947 for the film Under False Suspicion (Quai des Orfèvres) by director Henri-Georges Clouzot . He was then seen in more than two hundred films in supporting roles. He is remembered above all as the Resistance comrade of Danielle Darrieux in Marie-Octobre (1959), as editor-in-chief of Jean Marais and Mylène Demongeot in the three Fantômas films and as the innkeeper and father of Claude Jade in Édouard Molinaros Mein, longing for dowry Uncle Benjamin ( Mon oncle Benjamin , 1969).
