A decahedron (or decahedron ) is a convex polyhedron made up of ten surfaces.

Is known z. B. the chiral decahedron shown below, which is created by truncating a cubus simus and how this has a sphere . It consists of eight irregular but axially symmetrical pentagons and two squares and has 16 corners and 24 edges.

Another example is the pentagonal bipyramid ( Johnson body ), which is composed of ten equilateral triangles. This polyhedron is created by cutting off and then joining two caps of an icosahedron standing on its tip . It has 7 corners and 15 edges.
