The Delaware State Route 7 ( DE 7 for short ) is a state route in the US state of Delaware that runs in a north-south direction.
The State Route begins on US Highway 13 and Delaware State Route 72 near Delaware City and ends after 17 miles in Avondale on the Pennsylvania border .

After the junction of US 13 and DE 72, DE 7 runs north and true south of Bear on the Delaware State Route 71 and north of the city on the US Highway 40 . The road runs parallel to Delaware State Route 1 and first crosses State Route 273 in Christinia . After crossing the Christina River , the road meets the Old Baltimore Pike and passes the Old Fort Church to the west .
From Christinia, the DE 7 uses the freeway route of State Route 1 for about three kilometers, crossing Interstate 95 and Delaware State Route 58 . To the south of Stanton , the road shares a route with State Route 4 and crosses White Clay Creek . In Marshallton it meets Delaware State Route 2 and in Pike Creek State Route 72 branches off in a westerly direction before DE 7 ends at the border with Pennsylvania.
