The Delta Peak is a very acute mountain in West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . As a prominent corner point of the Ackerman Ridge, it rises 10 km northeast of Mount Gjertsen in the La Gorce Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. Participants in the 1969 to 1970 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it. It is named after a striking rock band on the south side of the mountain, which has the shape of the Greek letter delta .
