Demir Gökgöl

Demir Gökgöl (born July 15, 1937 in Istanbul ; † March 22, 2012 in Hamburg ) was a Turkish actor who lived and worked in Germany .

Life

Born in Istanbul in 1937, Gökgöl received his training as an actor in Vienna . After that he had various engagements in Turkey and with the local state broadcaster in Istanbul.

In 1968 Gökgöl emigrated to Germany, where, until his death, he played numerous roles as a film and television actor, some of which were noted, and also took on dubbing. In addition, he continued to work in the theater sector. In addition, the actor acted as a reciter for poets such as Bertolt Brecht , Nazım Hikmet and Orhan Veli .
