Democratic Social Party

The Democratic Social Party (DSP) was a right-wing split from the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland in the canton of Basel-Stadt and in the canton of Graubünden . In the canton of Friborg it was last called Mouvement Ouverture / Free List .

The DSP was founded by a group around the then Basel government councilor Karl Schnyder (formerly SP).

In the Basel cantonal parliament it did not occur after the dissolution in 2012 of more in Einwohnerrat of Riehen the last remaining seat was lost in the general elections of 2010. In the Grand Council of the Canton of Grisons she lost her last seat in the cantonal elections in 2010 and in the Freiburg Grand Council she occupied 2 of the 110 seats by 2011.

At the General Assembly on March 16, 2009, the DSP of the Canton of Basel-Stadt resolved to dissolve itself by 28 votes to 10 with 5 abstentions.
