Dengzhou

Dengzhou ( 邓州市 , Dèngzhōu Shì ) is an independent city in the Chinese province of Henan . It belongs to the administrative area of ​​the prefecture-level city of Nanyang . In 1999 it had 1,473,247 inhabitants.

The Baligang site (Baligang yizhi 八里 岗 遗址) from the late Neolithic and the pagoda of the Fusheng Temple (Fusheng si ta 福 胜 寺塔) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001 and 2006, respectively .
