Penglai (Yantai)
Penglai ( Chinese 蓬萊 區 / 蓬莱 区 , Pinyin Pénglái Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Yantai in the east Chinese province of Shandong .
Penglai is the northernmost part of the mainland part of the prefecture of Yantai and is located in the center of Yantai. Aside from the Bohai Sea in the north, Penglai is west of Fushan District , east of Longkou City, and north of Qixia City .
Penglai has an area of 1,129 km² and approx. 480,000 inhabitants (2001), of which more than 80% are active in agriculture.
Since the community reform on June 5, 2020, Penglai has consisted of six street districts and eight large communities and six communities :
- Dengzhou Street District (登州 街道), seat of government of the borough;
- Zijingshan Street (紫荆山 街道);
- Xingang street district (新港 街道);
- Nanwang Street District (南王 街道);
- Penglaige street district (蓬莱 阁 街道);
- Nanchangshan Street District (南 长 山 街道);
- Greater community Daxindian (大辛店镇);
- Greater community Beigou (北沟镇);
- Greater community Liujiagou (刘家沟镇);
- Daliuxing Municipality (大 柳 行 镇);
- Greater community Cunliji (村里集镇);
- Greater community Xiaomenjia (小门家镇);
- Greater community Chaoshui (潮水镇);
- Tuoji Municipality (砣 矶 镇);
- Beichangshan Township (北 长 山乡);
- Community Daqindao (大钦岛乡);
