Denis Tyurin Alexejewitsch ( Russian Денис Алексеевич Тюрин ; * 3. June 1980 in Lipetsk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a retired Russian ice hockey player who most recently with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Continental Hockey League was under contract.
Career
Denis Tyurin began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose professional team he made his debut in the super league in the 1996/97 season . He remained pointless in two games and received four penalty minutes. In the summer of 1998 the winger signed a contract with ZSK WWS Samara , for which he played in the super league for a year and a half before returning to HK Lada Tolyatti for half a year. From 2000 to 2006 he was on the ice for Metallurg Novokuznetsk for a total of six years . He started the 2006/07 season at HK Avangard Omsk , but returned to his former club from Novokuznetsk after just 28 games.
From 2007 to 2010 Tyurin played for HK Sibir Novosibirsk , initially for a year in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . For the 2010/11 season , the former national player was signed by KHL promoted HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk , before he returned to his former club from Novokuznetsk in May 2011.
International
For Russia , Tyurin took part in the Euro Hockey Tour in 2007 . In three international matches, he scored two goals and provided an assist.
