Denis Froidevaux

Denis Froidevaux (* in the canton of Vaud ) is a Swiss police officer and militia officer ( brigadier ).

Life

Froidevaux studied forest engineering at ETS Lausanne ( University of Applied Sciences in Western Switzerland ) and is a trained police officer . From 1996 he was in command of the Montreux City Police and graduated from the University Institute for Public Administration ( Master of Public Administration , 2000) while working as a criminologist . Since 2008 he has been Secretary General of the Security Department of the Canton of Vaud and Chief of Staff of the Cantonal Management Staff.

As an officer, Froidevaux was Chief of the Inspectorate for Military Security at the Army Staff and Commander of the Mountain Infantry Brigade 10. Since 2012 he has been working as a militia officer again in the Army Staff. From 1998 to 2002 he was President of the Société des Officiers Vevey-Montreux, then President of the Officers' Society of the Canton of Vaud. From 2006 to 2012 he was Vice President and since then President of the Swiss Officers' Association (SOG).
