Memorial to the victims of the 1972 Olympic attack
The memorial for the victims of the 1972 Olympic attack is a sculpture by the German sculptor Fritz Koenig (1924–2017) and is entitled Klagebarken . It was set up on September 27, 1995 in the Olympiapark in Munich and is located on the connection path from the Olympic Stadium to the former Olympic Village, precisely where a support rope for the tent roof construction is anchored. It commemorates the victims of the hostage-taking in Munich .
The memorial is a ten meter wide granite beam, which is supported in the middle by a base.

and in Latin letters the name of the Bavarian policeman who died trying to free himself in Fürstenfeldbruck.
