Mosque vineyard
Mosque Vineyard ( Hebrew משה ויינברג, also Weinberger ; * September 15, 1939 in Haifa ; † September 5, 1972 in Munich ) was the coach of the Israeli wrestling team and the team of Hapoel Tel Aviv . He was murdered by Palestinian terrorists in the Munich Olympic attack .
He was an Israeli youth champion in wrestling and also held the championship title for adults for several years. He started his career at Hapoel Haifa . The trainer training took place in the Wingate Institute .
Weinberg was taken hostage with ten other athletes during the hostage-taking in Munich in 1972 and injured in a scuffle right from the start. A little later he tried to escape and was shot while his teammate Gad Tsobari managed to escape.
Weinberg's son Guri Weinberg , an Israeli actor, played his father in Steven Spielberg's film Munich (2005).
