Dennis Braunsdorf (born August 16, 1988 in Heerlen ) is a German-Dutch composer for film and advertising music.
Life
Born in Heeren (NL), raised in Aachen , Braunsdorf graduated from the Couven-Gymnasium in 2008 .
In 2009 he was admitted to the Composition and Music Production course at the University of the Arts in Utrecht. There he received a Bachelor of Music with honors in 2013. in the same year he was also a student at the Open University of England , where he graduated with a Master of Arts. In 2015 Braunsdorf obtained a Master of Music from the University of the Arts in Utrecht. Braunsdorf is currently working on his doctoral thesis at Bournemouth University .
Braunsdorf was already active as a music producer for Hans van Hemert during his studies . In 2012 he worked as a composer for Massive Music in Shanghai and assisted the film composer Jessica de Rooij on German TV series in Berlin.
In 2013 Braunsdorf was part of a 16-person music project led by composers Bob Zimmerman and Loek Dikker . The aim of the project was the new dubbing of the French silent film L'inhumaine . The music was played live by the Metropole Orkest in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Braunsdorf has been composing trailer music for major Hollywood film productions for the company 'The Solos BV' since 2016 . Together with Paul Deetman, Braunsdorf was nominated for his music for the Alien Convenant campaign with the Buma Award.
Together with Alexander Mooij, Braunsdorf founded the audio-technological company Prolody BV In October 2017, Prolody published an audio plug-in for the processing of musical sounds in cooperation with the Dutch DJ duo Sick Individuals .
Braunsdorf lives in Amsterdam .
