Dennis Lippert (racing driver)

Dennis Lippert (born April 1, 1996 in Brunnthal ; † June 11, 2019 in Magdeburg ) was a German motorcycle racer .

Career

In 2016, Lippert became champion in the 600 cm³ class of the Hafeneger Cup, a junior racing series, with ten wins in eleven races. The following year he reached ninth place overall in the German Yamaha R6 Cup . In 2018 he took part in the International German Motorcycle Championship in the Supersport 600 class for the first time and came in seventh overall.

On June 8, 2019, Lippert had a fatal accident in a race at the International German Motorcycle Championship in Oschersleben . He fell and was then hit in the head by his competitor Martin Vugrinec . He was brought by helicopter to Magdeburg University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries three days later.
