Dennis Nally

Dennis M. Nally (born November 10, 1952 in Washington, DC ) is an American manager . He was CEO and Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers International (PwC) from 2009 to June 2016 and is involved in the HeForShe campaign for equality .

Career

Nally holds a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University . He later completed executive programs at Columbia University and Penn State University . He joined Price Waterhouse's Detroit office in 1974 and became a partner in 1985. Nally became National Director for Strategic Planning in 1992, Vice Chairman in 1995, Managing Partner in 2000, and finally CEO of the US firm in 2002 and CEO of the company as a whole in 2009.

Nally was one of 79 business leaders at the World Economic Forum who, in 2015, called on the heads of government at the UN Climate Change Conference to take concrete action to combat climate change. He is a founding member of the “IMPACT 10x10x10 Pilot Initiative”, which aims to end inequalities between men and women in companies and governments worldwide as part of the HeForShe campaign.

Nally is a member of several boards of directors , including Morgan Stanley in October 2016 and AmerisourceBergen in January 2020 . He is also a Trustee of Carnegie Hall and Vice Chairman of the United States Council for International Business.

Nally is married with three daughters and one son. He is the second of five children to an FBI agent.
