Denzel N. Ward (* 28. April 1997 in Macedonia , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the cornerbacks , who for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League plays (NFL). He played college football for Ohio State and was selected by the Browns as the fourth player overall in the 2018 NFL Draft .

Denzel Ward began his college career at Ohio State in 2015. In his third year, he made it into the starting lineup. He played 14 games and recorded 37 tackles and 2 interceptions. On December 9, Ward announced on Twitter that he would be giving up his fourth season at Ohio State and signing up for the draft. He also decided not to take part in the Cotton Bowl Classic .

On July 24, 2018, Ward signed a four-year contract with the Cleveland Browns. Ward made his NFL debut at the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers . He collected 6 tackles and 2 interceptions. He caught his first interception when Ben Roethlisberger tried to pass , which was supposed to reach Antonio Brown .
