Český Krumlov Depot
The Český Krumlov Depot (also known as the Český Krumlov hoard ) is a depot find from the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Český Krumlov in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. Today the depot is located in the Regional Museum in Český Krumlov.
Find history
The depot was discovered in 2007 by a probe west of Český Krumlov at a depth of 0.25 m to 0.3 m . The site is on the western slope of a steep hill, just below the summit. A follow-up archaeological examination revealed no further finds.
composition
The depot consists of two bronze edging axes . When they were found, they were 6.5 m apart, probably due to erosion .
