Kehmstedt depot
The custodian of Kehmstedt is a seven swords and a spearhead of existing hoard of Late Bronze Age from Kehmstedt in the district of Nordhausen , Thuringia . The depot dates from the 9th or 8th century BC. Today it is exhibited in the State Museum for Prehistory in Halle (Saale) .

The depot was discovered in 1906 when the road from Kehmstedt to Bleicherode was being expanded .
description
When found, the weapons all pointed in one direction, which suggests that they had been placed in a bundle. The total weight of the finds is 5.36 kg. The weapons are two antenna swords (hereinafter No. 1 and 2, an Auverni sword (No. 3), three Möring swords (No. 4-6), a sword with an oval tang without a handle (No. 7) and one Lance tip (No. 8).
The objects are not standardized, but have different dimensions and material compositions. The swords have the following dimensions:

The lance tip has a total length of 41 cm. The blade has a maximum width of 6 cm and the nozzle has a mouth diameter of 2.2 cm.
