Plavnice depot

The Plavnice Depot (also known as the Plavnice hoard ) is a depot of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Plavnice , a district of Kamenný Újezd in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is located in the South Bohemian Museum in Budweis .

Find history

The depot was discovered in the spring of 1885 while working in the forest southeast of Plavnice. It lay in loamy rubble at a depth of 20 cm. Johann Nepomuk Woldrich carried out a follow-up examination of the site.

composition

The depot consists of ten bronze objects : a fragment of an arm spiral , four edge ridge axes , a chisel , three loop- headed needles and a sleeve-headed needle . The spiral arm consists of wire with a round cross-section.
