The Barber of Filmersdorf is a German silent film fun game from 1915. Oscar Sabo plays the leading role under the direction of Carl Wilhelm .

The journeyman barber Florian doesn't really feel challenged in his job; rather, he has always been drawn to the boards that mean the world. And so one day he leaves his training facility to start as a celebrated mime at the theater. But the stage arts are much more difficult than he thought. He is mercilessly booed on his debut, and the performance becomes a disaster for him and the theater director. Remorseful, Florian returns to his old place of work with razors and hair scissors.

Production notes

The Barber of Filmersdorf passed the censorship in May 1915, was presented to the press on May 17, and had its official premiere on June 11, 1915 in the Berlin Marble House . The length of the three-acter was about 1300 meters.

The 14-year-old Wolfgang Zilzer , already known as a theater actor, made his debut here in front of the camera.
