This is the episode listing of The Man in the Mountains . The listing provides an overview of the 37 episodes of the American western television series The Man in the Mountains (original title: The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams ). It premiered in the United States on February 9, 1977 through December 19, 1978 on NBC . In Germany, the series was broadcast on ARD from August 26, 1979 to July 12, 1981 . At that time only 23 of the 37 episodes were shown. The original 60-minute episodes were shortened to 45 minutes for the German broadcast. ProSieben showed all parts for the first time from December 3, 1989 to August 25, 1990.
Before the series ran in the United States on November 13, 1974, the pilot film The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams . In Germany, the film with the title The Man in the Mountains was broadcast on April 25, 1981 on ARD. As a special for the series of two-hour film was on 21 February 1982 at NBC The Capture of Grizzly Adams ( German The Capture of Grizzly Adams ) broadcast. In Germany it ran on January 5, 1992 under the title Grizzly Adams: Auf der Flucht .

In addition to the human actors, some animals also appeared in the series. The two most famous were Ben, the grizzly bear (named after Benjamin Franklin ) and number 7, the mule from Mad Jack.
