Leonard B. Kaufman

Leonard B. Kaufman (born August 31, 1924 in Newark , New Jersey , † May 24, 2009 in Woodland Hills , California ) was an American acting agent and film producer .

Life

Kaufman began his professional life at an advertising agency that looked after Joan Crawford and Jane Wyman, among others, and founded his own agency in 1953. With this he represented for example Cary Grant , Burt Lancaster and Ella Fitzgerald ; he worked closely with United Artists .

After the agency was dissolved, Kaufman turned to the production of television series and films; Sun developed episodes of Flipper , Hawaii Five-O , The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams , as well as the pilot for the television series Daktari , Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion ( Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion ), under his leadership. He also wrote some scripts for series.

Kaufman was married to actress Doris Dowling .
