The Black Kruger , also just called the Black Kruger , is a small lake west of Randau in the area of the city of Magdeburg .
The Schwarze Krüger is located in the middle of the Elbe meadows on the right bank of the Elbe near the side of the eastern Elbe dike facing away from the Elbe. The field and cycle path from Randau to the Westerhüsen ferry leads north of the lake . There is also a station on the Elbaue adventure trail with benches and an explanatory board, which does not deal with the Black Kruger.
The lake has an area of only 0.15 hectares and is divided into several small water areas, which are interrupted by zones of greater siltation and reed growth.
The water is leased by the State Fishing Association of Saxony-Anhalt eV. The easternmost part of the lake is identified by a sign as private water . Fishing is then prohibited there. In fish there are lead , white bream , pike , roach and tench .
There are also rarer animal species in the biotope. There are traces of feeding on the beaver in the small forest that accompanies the lake in the north. The southern damsel dragonfly has also been observed here repeatedly.
