history

The team was founded in 2005 by Dia Soliman from Aachen and was originally a hip-hop group.

Having won the German championship three times in the Olympic discipline of 3 × 3 basketball (2013, 2017, 2018) and reaching the semi-finals at the streetball world championship "Quai 54" in Paris (2015), the team is now one of the most successful German streetball teams. When winning the German championship in Hamburg in 2018, the German NBA player Dennis Schröder played for Der Stamm . Other players who have already played for the team are Femi Oladipo , Kevin Yebo , Edwin Ofori-Attah , Heiko Schaffartzik , Konstantin Klein , Jone Lopes Pedro , Dia Soliman , Raed Mostafa , Dion Braimoh and Ray Williams.

By reaching the top 20 in the FIBA 3 × 3 team ranking, Der Stamm achieved the status of a FIBA ​​Pro Circuit team in 2018.
