Ofori-Attah, who grew up in Berlin, was considered a great basketball talent as a teenager, which was confirmed by his appointments to Germany's U-16, U-18 and U-20 national teams.

After short stays and assignments for TuS Lichterfelde (cooperation association of the then serial master Alba Berlin ) and assignments for Germany's junior national team, for which he scored the most points at the 2002 European Junior Championships, Ofori-Attah moved to the USA in 2002 to develop there.

During his high school days he scored 42 points in an official game against the former high school of multiple NBA All Star Tracy McGrady . Against the Hickory Grove Christian High School Ofori-Attah scored 71 points, which he broke the previous record of the US state of North Carolina . In the following game against the Italian junior national team, in whose ranks several players were already under contract with professional teams, Ofori-Attah scored 54 points. Ofori-Attah also broke the school record for the most successful three-point throws in a regular season game. (13 in the game against Veritas High School).

His achievements were not withheld from numerous NBA scouts. Ofori-Attah then created the profile of a potential future NBA player on the website nbadraft.net.

After several offers from American colleges, Ofori-Attah decided to join the team at the College of William and Mary in the US state of Virginia , where he was named “Rookie of the Week” in December 2004.

After a season in the northeast of the USA, Ofori-Attah then moved to the second German Bundesliga to the USC Mainfranken Baskets (successor team to DJK S.Oliver Würzburg, where the German NBA All Star Dirk Nowitzki was trained).

After the USC's relegation, it was quiet about Ofori-Attah, who then went basketball in the third-class German regional league ( SSC Karlsruhe and Central Hoops Berlin). In the 2008/09 season he was again active in the United States and played for the Shorter College from the NAIA.
