action

Randy Bowers is on his way to see Ed Rogers. In his Saloon Halfway House, however, he only finds a few corpses and an emptied safe . When the sheriff arrives at the scene on the advice of the mute Matt Mathews, he arrests Randy without further ado. In reality, hiding behind Mathews of the warrant sought Marvin Black, the head very same robber band which the Halfway House has invaded. With the looted money, Black wants to buy Rogers property from his niece Sally. However, the plan does not work because the money is not in the safe but in a secret location.

Randy convinces Roger's niece of his innocence with a covering letter. She then frees him from prison and confides in his protection. First, however, Randy has to escape the sheriff. While on the run, he comes across the hiding place of the bandits and joins them. Black immediately recognizes him as the escaped suspect and remains suspicious. He has Sally brought to him to find out where the money is from her. Since she refuses to cooperate, the bandits lock her in their hideout, where Randy contacts her. Sally tells him where the money is.

He finds the hiding place in the halfway house without any problems and replaces the money in the chest with some sticks of dynamite . Using a handwriting sample from mute Matt, he also finds out that Marvin and Matt are one and the same person. So he attracts the attention of the sheriff and his men and leads them directly to the hiding place of the gang. In the tumult of the exchange of fire, the leader, Marvin, escapes and heads to the halfway house to finally get the money. When trying to open the chest with a shot from the revolver , the dynamite detonates and pulls the robber with him to his death. In the end, Randy can clarify what he is doing and return the secured money to Sally, who in turn confesses her affection for him.
