Deryck Taylor

Deryck Taylor (* 1939 ) is a former Jamaican long jumper , triple jumper and hurdler .

In 1958 he won silver in the long jump and bronze in the triple jump and over 110 m hurdles at the championships of the British West Indies . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff , he won silver in the long jump and was eliminated from over 120 yard hurdles in the preliminary run.

The following year he won silver in the long jump at the British West Indies Championships and won the Central America and Caribbean Games .

He set his personal best in the long jump of 7.77 m on April 1, 1961 in Fayetteville .
