Dessislawa Dimitrova

Dessislawa Dimitrowa ( Bulgarian Десислава Димитрова , English transcription Desislava Dimitrova ; born June 19, 1972 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian sprinter .

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m . In 1994 she was at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Paris fifth over 60 m . At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki , she reached the semi-finals over 100 m and won bronze with the Bulgarian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she retired with the Bulgarian relay in the run-up to the 4-by-100-meter relay.

In 1994 and 1998 she became the Bulgarian 100 m champion. In the hall she won the national title three times in a row from 1993 to 1995.
