Dessislawa Velitschkowa ( Bulgarian Десислава Величкова , English transcription: Dessislava Velitchkova; * December 22, 1972 ) is a former Bulgarian volleyball player .
Career
Welitschkowa played from 1997 to 2002 for the German Bundesliga club Schweriner SC , with whom she was four times German champion and one DVV cup winner . In 2003/04 the setter was active in the Italian A1 series at Pallavolo Reggio Emilia .
With the Bulgarian national team , Velichkova finished tenth at the 1998 World Cup in Japan and third at the 2001 European championship in his own country .
