Bersant Celina (born September 9, 1996 in Prizren , BR Yugoslavia ) is a Norwegian - Kosovar football player .

Origin and family

Celina was born in Prizren in what was then the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (now Kosovo ) and moved to Drammen, Norway, when she was two years old .

Celina's older brother Behajdin (* 1993) is also a soccer player.

Career

Celina started his career in Drammen in 2007 with Strømsgodset IF and joined the Manchester City youth team in 2012 at the age of 15 . There he played until the summer of 2015 - for example in the UEFA Youth League - and, having received a professional contract until June 30, 2017 in July 2014, moved up to the men's division for the 2015/16 season . On January 9, 2016, Celina finally made her debut in the first team when he was substituted on for Kelechi Iheanacho in the 85th minute of the game by coach Manuel Pellegrini in the 3-0 away win against Norwich City in the third round of the FA Cup . On February 6, 2016, Celina made his Premier League debut when he came on as a substitute for David Silva in the 77th minute of the 3-1 home defeat by Leicester City .

National team

Celina has been playing for Norway's junior teams since October 2011. From September 2015 he was active in the Norwegian U-21 selection .

Celina has been a national player for Kosovo since 2014. In 2015 he became the country's fourth official goalscorer. In Kosovo's debut as a FIFA member, he was sent off in the 36th minute.
