Barrie McKay (born December 30, 1994 in Paisley ) is a Scottish football player who plays for the English first division club Swansea City .

Career

Barrie McKay was born in 1994 in Paisley , about 11 km west of Glasgow . He began his football career at FC Kilmarnock, for whom he played until August 2011 in their youth. At the end of the season there was promotion to the third division. In the 2013/14 season McKay played on loan at the Scottish second division club Greenock Morton . In the 2014/15 season McKay was awarded to the Raith Rovers .

In July 2015, he returned to the then second-rate Rangers and made the promotion with them. After another season with the Rangers, now in the Scottish Premiership 2016/17 , he moved to the English second division club Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2017 .

National team

Barrie McKay made his debut in February 2012 in the Scottish U-19 for which he was active for a total of two years. In the same year, further missions in the U-18 followed from April , and in November a game in the U-21 against Portugal .
