Destiny is the seventh studio album by the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius . It was released on October 5, 1998 and, thanks to the high number of pre-orders, reached number 1 on the Finnish album charts a week earlier . A children's choir and several violins were used on the album . Among the violinists was Eicca Toppinen, a member of the then still relatively unknown band Apocalyptica . The album cover is based on an oil painting by Marco Bernard .
