Timo Tolkki (born March 3, 1966 in Klaukkala , Nurmijärvi ) is a Finnish musician. He became known as a guitarist and songwriter for Stratovarius and as a producer of various metal bands.

Career

A year after Stratovarius was founded in 1984, he joined the band as a guitarist, replacing Staffan Stråhlman. Until 1995 he was also the singer of Stratovarius. Until 1993 he recorded various demos and albums for small Finnish metal bands in his TTT studio . In 2002 he was a guest musician on the debut album of the Finnish power metal band Thunderstone . In early April 2008, Tolkki left Stratovarius and formed a new band called Revolution Renaissance .
